Baby Alexander was born 3 months premature on the 19 July 06 at 2.04pm, weighing 2lb12oz. During my pregnancy tests concluded that Alexander had a 1 in 10 chance of having Downs syndrome, a few days later it was confirmed. Alexander was very weak but even still he pulled through an operation to correct a Bowel problem, accidental injury was caused to the liver which resulted in an internal bleed. He also suffered bleeding on the brain, had he survived he would be severly brain damaged. After 17 days Alexander was unable to fight anymore. He passed away at 2.35 on 5th August 06. Mummys birthday!

Its nearly your birthday sweetie, your going to be 1. I wish you were here with me, i miss you so much. What id do just for 5 mins to see you again, just a cuddle and a kiss from my little boy. I wonder do you look like me or like daddy. You looked like daddy when you were first born. Your big brother asks after you all the time, he alway makes sure your in his drawings. I hope you got the balloons everyone sent to heaven for you. Mummys and Daddys were the only ones that got stuck in the tree! Typical! Everyone misses you and sends their love. We always talk about you and listen to your songs, and look at your photos. When im feeling lonely, i look at your tiny clothes you were wearing when you left hospital, they still smell of you. I wish i had more than memories, im greatfull for the ones you gave me. If you see mummy crying, I want you to know that they are happy tears for the 17 days we had together. For when the first time you opened your eyes, we were so excited we nearly woke all the other babies up in scbu with our cheers. I loved the way you reacted to our voices and sucked on your breathing tube like a dummy. And your silent cry was so sweet.
I hope your having fun in heaven. Kodie came to see you, Did she find you? Say hi to nanny and grandad for me. send my love to them. Keep looking after us all down here. I have to sign off now, my heart is aching.
